They do have a shrimp chimichanga on the menu, however, it is not specified as a "grilled shrimp" chimichanga.
The food was fair, the prices were good. It's average for Mexican fair, mainstream perhaps. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice.
Great food. Great service once we got to the table. Hostess was not very warm.
We frequent Pablo’s at the Colonnade about every couple of weeks. It’s convenient and they generally have live music in the warm months. There are 2 consistent things about this place. The food is pretty good but the service is TERRIBLE consistently. Margarita Grill and Iguana Grill have the same food quality and better service. I give it 2 stars ... one for the food and one for the live music. It could be a 4 or 5 stars rating if the service would change.
Great service! I really enjoyed the salsa, fresh chips, and Pablo’s fajitas. We will return.
Great for groups. Traditional mexican fare with great adult beverages.
Wonderful food! Tastes like Villa Fiesta did back when they were still open in Irondale. Felt like a taste of home and great memories. We will definitely be back again and again. Thanks so much!
Great outdoor dining, very attentive staff, real tasty queso.
Horrible quality. I ordered 3 carne azada well done it was under cook. When I asked if they could to get a little longer they said that they couldn’t when I ask them if they can get my money back they couldn’t do that Either. And the worst thing about all the manager didn’t bother to talk to me
I used to eat at the one on 150 I tried this one out and I didn’t get disappointed at all thanks to the mgmt and staff I had the steak burrito a shrimp taco and guacamole it was the best thanks guys
Amazing food and service!!! I Cannot give enough stars for this restaurant! They have the best of everything. The best cheese dip, the best food , the best margaritas! The only restaurant that can make an amazing skinny margarita! Thank you Pablos!
Completely unacceptable, in a half full restaurant, to wait 20 mins for a water refill. We even lined up 4 empty cups, at the end of the table, as a visible hint...still no service. Waiter walked by several times and didn’t even acknowledge our table. Owner had a 10 minute conversation, about his sons, with patrons at the table next to us, and still no acknowledgement. I finally had to raise my voice to get the attention of a waiter across the way. Same thing happened when it came time to get our bill. There are way too many good Mexican restaurants in the area to waste time with poor service. We will not be back!
Our party of 35 was handled efficiently and timely. The food and margaritas were excellent!
Great meal tonight. Friendly and accommodating staff. They reopen for dinner at 4pm.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, great margheritas.
We had an enjoyable experience & good food ! The service here is great & the staff is friendly. This Mexican restaurant offers a variety of food on it's menu. We found it to be family friendly.
The food was good and the service was fantastic. But the only thing is the singer, he constantly made references to female private parts and said every explicit words aka mother f@#$&r.
Very good food and margaritas. Nice staff too.
Our fav Mexican place. Great food
Cool place to hang out on a Friday night. They have great margs and usually have liveMusic outside. Food is good but not incredible or anything.
About half-way through our dinner a group of about 7 or 8 people were seated at tables next to us. One woman in the group was carrying a small dog with a "service dog" sweater on. Apparently the woman had asked for and the restaurant staff brought a high-chair for the woman to place the dog in. Part of the time the dog was in the high-chair, part of the time it was being passed around between people and actually being fed by the people. I have no problem with a true service animal being brought in the restaurant, however if it were a true service animal it would have been trained to lay at it's master's feet. One of the restaurant owners was working the cash register and could see all that was going on and took no action to correct the situation.
HANDS DOWN the BEST Margaritas in town! Get the Texas (medium) and call Uber... Food is great, and Susan, Putu, Jack, Greg and the rest of the team there make sure you have a great time. Awesome Place.
My fault for ordering Mexican pizza, unedible everything else was edible if you have been fasting for a couple days
Would be 0 if I could. The service was horrible, no hello, no goodbye, the dude seating us just pulled his fingers out of his mouth before handing us the menus, we barely got one round of drinks, nobody checked on us, we had to go inside to ask for a box and the bill. The food is just average, but therefor way overpriced and the website is not even showing the correct prices. Basic chicken fajitas for $16.50? The steak was chewy and the banana margarita tasted like something chemical, but not banana.Eat somewhere cheaper and way better!
Slow service last week. Atypical for them. They are usually fast with orders.
Service was pretty good. Food always tasted good. Started going there for the margaritas but they have changed and become more expensive. My last time eating there ended in me finding a roach in my food. Won't go back because of it.
Great service. Great food.
The overall vibe and live music was fantastic! The outside patio is very spacious. But I was HIGHLY disappointed in the overall presentation and taste of my food. I ordered a grande burrito and it was luke warm. Also the sauce was very water and my burrito had puddles next to it. I'm not one to send food back but I'm angry at myself for not saying anything. I dont believe someone should have to pay 13 dollars for something that looked and tasted like leftovers out of my fridge. The cheese in the burrito was hard and you could tell they zapped it in the microwave. The only reason I gave them two stars was because of the atmosphere, I will be going back for drinks and chips BUT NOT THE FOOD!
Got the “Chicken Con Queso” dinner Special to go. There was no “queso” like the menu described, just a small small pinch of hardened mozzarella on just one of the breasts. Also the online menu advertised it as $13 and I was charged $16 before tip. 2 stars because the salsa’s pretty good, and last time I got just a margarita here at night and hung out and had a fun evening. Definitely wish I had my money back from my meal today though
Food was decent as was the price. The booths and tables were in poor shape. When you sit in the booth you sink very far down and the tables feel like they are at your neck (I'm 5'11"), and the table was very wobbly, making it not a very pleasant experience. The margaritas are pretty good here and they sometimes have live bands playing which is pretty cool.
Delivery from door dash was prompt but food was cold and short $12 worth of food., when I called Pablo’s the teenage hostess said she read the order wrong and was sooo sorry!! Beware of delivery!!
Great service, really good Margaritas
Great service and phenomenal live music on Tuesday May 21st. It felt like we were at the beach! We will be back!
Everything was super salty and food was sub par. Service was good, place is clean and everyone was friendly. Food just missed that’s all.
Quite good Mexican food. Try the fish tacos or the fajitas salad, both remarkable. Chips and salsa were marvelous. The service and atmosphere were good, as well.
They have really stepped it up. The protein plate is on point. Staff is great.
Great atmosphere and even better food. Service is top notch!
Nice outside terras, often with life music. Good food, reasonable priced. Service could be a bit more "spontaneous".
Excellent service and food was amazing. We were just passing through from West Palm Beach, Florida, to visit family and decided to stop and stay at a nearby hotel for the evening. I had fajitas. My husband had a burrito, and daughter had the kids steak. Literally, this topped all of the Mexican restaurants we’ve eaten at. We frequently eat Mexican, being that it is one of our top faves. If only we lived closer, we would definitely have been regular patrons. Keep up the great work guys!!
Always glad to stop here for Mexican food. Better than average and the prices are modest. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Carvings inside the tables and bathroom door. Small outdoor area for dining. Good salsa. Only had one issue here. Returned the sweet tea once for tasting like Lipton tea, yuk, but had tea that was fine on other visits.
Very nice place, the environment and the food was great! The only thing that I didnt like was that the drinks or the margaritas went to strong. Lol.... everything else is great, fast service and just good mexican food
We visited in May of 2015 and I'll have to admit that I don't remember what the food was like. I'm sure it was delicious! The margaritas though - unbelievable! So tasty, and just the right balance of sweet, sour, and salty! Also can be made with different tequilas, which makes a difference. Service was a bit slow that night, as they were VERY busy after the race at Talladega. I felt very grateful when one of the servers chased after me to return a few dollars that I dropped on the way back from the bathroom. I would've never known I dropped them, so it was a nice touch to have it returned.
Worst service I have ever had. We received my wife's food but not mine. We sat 11 minutes before we were for drink order. The place was have full and the did not have enough menus. I do not recommend eating here.
Our favorite place with our favorite people! How can you go wrong with anything on this menu?!?! We love Susan and her husband and Putu and the rest of the staff and we eat there an average of twice a week. My favorites are the southwestern rolls, the chicken and rice dishes, and the quesadillas. My wife loves the fajitas. Looking forward to a bit warmer weather so we can sit outside.
Worst Mex food ever. Gross.
I thought Pablo's Restaurant & Cantina was okay. Not wonderful. I ordered a steak burrito and the tortilla was stuffed mostly with rice and beans. There was very little steak at all inside. If you're looking for a quick lunch and don't particularly care if it's great food this might be your place. Not overly impressed.
Rarely write negative reviews as I have worked in food service and understand how this stuff can be frustrating. But this experience was awful enough to warrant it and felt intentional. Have eaten here before and wasn’t very impressed. Tonight confirmed this. I ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla. I asked the server if beans came on it and I very clearly said NO BEANS and even made “NO” hand motions which my husband laughed at me for doing. Our food came and I received a quesadilla with beans inside of it. Not sure if this was intentionally done or just a misunderstanding. But please have your servers write down orders in the future. Chips were good and the service was fast so I’ll leave at least 2 stars, but the food quality is subpar.
Best fast service I had in a long time I recommend this place to anyone great costumer service..The restaurant guy
I ate here tonight and I must say that I am impressed! Friendly staff and the food was excellent! It was well worth the visit .
The food is okay, service is good, and the ambiance is meh.
